Abstract

This article tackles an important issue, i.e., the formation of phonological competence, which is a subcomponent of linguistic communicative competence. For the formation of phonological competence, the pedagogical model presented in the article has been elaborated and applied together with Philology students. The model includes the aim, the content units, specific principles, adequate strategies, exercises types and 4 stages (Motivational-Value, Presentation, Practice, Production) due to which the didactical process of assimilating the phonetic-phonological units is realized.
